Patchnet Projects

The workspace where your team and your AI agents keep work current — what it is and where to start.

Patchnet Projects is a shared workspace where people and AI agents keep business work organized, current, and easy to find again. This page is for anyone new to the product.

What it is

Your workspace holds projects. Each project holds records: decisions, notes, tasks, clients, cases, or whatever your work needs. Records are plain-language documents with a consistent structure, so both your teammates and your agents can read them, search them, and keep them up to date.

You work with Patchnet Projects in two ways:

  • In the browser — sign in, chat with the built-in agent, browse projects, and manage who can see what.
  • From your own AI tool — connect Claude, Codex, or another tool that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol), and your agent can read and write the same projects you see in the browser.

What you can do with it

  • Capture decisions, notes, and tasks where the whole team can find them later
  • Give each area of work its own project, with its own record types
  • Share a project with the right people at the right access level
  • Let agents do real work in your projects — summarize, update, and file records — under the same access rules as people
  • Keep a private journal for your own notes and drafts

Where to start

  1. Quick start — sign in and complete your first useful task.
  2. How Patchnet Projects is organized — the ideas behind projects, records, and roles.
  3. Connect your AI tool — work in Patchnet from Claude, Codex, or another MCP client.

Patchnet Projects is built on MAADb (Markdown as a database). Engine documentation lives on the MAADb site; these pages cover the Patchnet Projects experience.
