docsPatchnet Projects
Quick start
Sign in to Patchnet Projects, create a project, and have your agent file your first record.
You will sign in, create a project, and have the agent file a record you can find again. It takes about ten minutes.
Before you begin
- An invitation to your organization's Patchnet Projects workspace. Your workspace admin sends it.
- A desktop or mobile browser.
Steps
- Open the workspace link from your invitation and sign in. Use the sign-in method your organization set up, such as your work account.
- The first time you sign in, a short walkthrough asks you to pick a theme, then offers to connect Microsoft 365. To skip Microsoft 365 for now, select Set up later.
- You land on Home. This is where you chat with the Patchnet agent and reach everything else.
- In the sidebar, open Projects and select New project.
- Enter a name, for example
Client onboarding. Choose Private (only you) or Org-shared (everyone in your organization), then create the project. - Go back to Home and select New task. Ask the agent to file a record in your new project, for example: "In Client onboarding, record a decision: we send the welcome pack within two business days of signing."
- Open Projects in the sidebar and select your project. The new record shows under Records.
What good looks like
- The record is in the project you chose, not only in the chat.
- It is written in plain language a teammate can read without the conversation around it.
- You can find it again next week without searching your chat history.
Next
- How Patchnet Projects is organized — projects, records, and roles.
- Create and share a project — invite teammates in.
- Connect your AI tool — use Claude, Codex, or another MCP client.
